From Neglect to Community Hub
Breathing new life into a forgotten piece of history, we transformed a neglected Grade II listed building (circa 1450) in a protected AONB conservation area into a thriving community asset.
Previously arranged as a ground-floor shop alongside a single dwelling and an independent upper flat, the historic structure had endured years of disuse and decay before work began to rescue, restore, and reimagine the site.
Our mission was to regenerate the site into a thriving mixed-use asset: establishing a welcoming community café, creating a self-contained apartment, and developing a separate two-storey family home.
Far-Infrared Heating in Heritage Settings
The café was retrofitted with discreet far-infrared heating panels, delivering efficient, energy efficient warmth while ensuring zero damage to the historic building fabric.
Unlike traditional convection radiators that blow dry air and allergens around the room, FIR panels maintain natural humidity and keep the air dust-free.
